Sport Excellence


The curriculum is structured to teach body basic functionality along with kid’s fundamental movement and gross motor skills progressively in a ‘FUN’ way. The age progressive training module targets the kids from Pre-Nursery to Grade 3. With over 200 + fun activities using props and music, KID-FIT is designed to not only improve fitness and sport abilities but also help instill healthy lifestyle habits among kids and assist in their overall development. The activities are conducted by specialized KID- FIT coaches who are experienced in managing and engaging young kids.

The program focuses on very basic yet essential skills like locomotors and traveling skills, body and space awareness, jumping and landing, transferring weight, throwing and catching, chasing, fleeing and dodging, kicking and striking, injury prevention and safety, pathways and directions, balancing, co-operative learning, rhythms and dance.

Encourages physical activities at an early age to ensure overall development and well being

It also introduces the basics of running, jumping, throwing and catching that is fundamental to all sports

Kids understand the importance of being active, doing regular exercises and eating right

Encompasses use of shapes, colors, alphabets and body charts that supplements classroom education

Right this point of time school caters in all the major sports where kids has been imparted the knowledge and skills towards the sports specific training and work load for the long term and short term goals. In grade 3rd kids ascertain the sports on two basis.

1st Sports of Choice-

In the beginning of the year all the kids would be assessed on each and every sport and on the rank basis they will be awarded a sports for which they are best suited according to their physical, physiological, mental and skill performances pertaining to each sports. Hence, by the end of year each kid would excel in at least one sport. Following are the pre and post assessment of sports from Grade 4-9.


  1. 1. BASKET BALL-

    • Under esteemed coaches basket ball is the one of the major sports at VidyaBhavanplaced in the indoor facility.
    • Every year team participates in most of age category (girls and boys) where students trained in morning time to participate in all the major tournaments.

    • Badminton glorified it presence on two courts under guidance ofexperienced coaches. Team represented the school in all the major CBSE tournaments and brings accolades to school.
  3. 3. SKATING-

    • Under the seasoned guidance of prolific coaches and having an outdoor skating rink facility, students conferred with most number of national medals in CBSE and Open Tournaments.
  4. 4. FOOTBALL-

    • While having artificial turf as a football pitches you can’t ask enough to be trained for football. At VidyaBhavanteams gets training and participate in CBSE and all the major football carnivals. Training happens under the experience of 9 CONSECUTIVE FOOTBALL NATIONALS.
  5. 5. CRICKET-

    • We are having one cemented pitches and one turf pitch. WE have one of the best facilities along with the NCA trained coaches.

    • An outdoor Volleyball Court provides ample opportunities to exhibit their talent.

    • A state of the art swimming facility and proficient coaches produces many State, District and National Champions

    • Students learn different self-defense techniques under the supervision of seasoned trainers.

    • The students will develop their PNF (Proprospective Neuromuscular Facilitation) through coordinating their upper and lower Extremity using different techniques of Aerobics and Zumba.

    • Athletics is one of the major parts of sports curriculum which is mandatory for all students. Athletics ensures that the students not only take a big leap towards, “the fit citizen and fit nation”, but also harness their psychomotor skills to further excel in all sports.
